Good King Wensleydale

Leftover Wensleydale and ham? This is our Christmas take on a ploughman’s lunch. It’s a welcome warming meal for your customers to enjoy after a brisk walk in the mid-winter sun. Cooking time: 7 minutes


Ingredients: Serves 1

  • Leftover Wensleydale Cheese (with or without cranberries) 
  • Leftover Christmas ham
  • a dollop of chutney
  • a handful of rocket
  • Olive oil, balsamic vinegar or your favourite dressing
  • 1 Bannisters Yorkshire Family Farm Large Baked Jacket Potato


  1. Heat a Large Bannisters Baked Jacket Potato from frozen in the microwave (only 7 mins) as per instructions.
  2. Pop on a plate, open up, add a knob of butter, then load in big chunks of ham and Wensleydale cheese.
  3. Serve with dressed rocket leaves and a dollop of your favourite chutney.
